Itinerary
- After your breakfast, our driver will pick up from your hotel, and drive to Gitega. Gishora Drum Sanctuary is one of the famous drum sites of Burundi. You can watch a drum show almost everywhere in Burundi, but Gishora makes a difference, and for a good reason due to its history. Yes, the Burundi Drum is a UNESCO Heritage. Gishora is 7km away from the urban center of Gitega, at 200 meters on the left side of Gitega-Ngozi Road. Visit Gishora Drum Sanctuary, learn more about Burundi drummers and the Drumming tradition in Burundi.
After watching the drummer’s performance followed by a visit to Gitega National Museum which is a collection of artifacts and antiquities from Burundi’s past, you will drive back to Bujumbura.
